About Understory
Understory began with my own experience of breast cancer. As I moved beyond treatment and navigated the ongoing challenges of breast lymphoedema, I realised that finding a post-surgery bra that was comfortable, supportive and still felt like me was far more difficult than I had imagined.
The more women I met, the clearer it became: my experience wasn't unique. Too many women were making compromises because the right support simply wasn't easy to find.
That inspired me to create something different.
Today, every Understory bra is shaped by the experiences of women and informed by clinicians and research—bringing together thoughtful design, dependable support and everyday comfort.
